At the Old Edgefield Grill
 

Just a short scenic drive from either Aiken, SC or Augusta, GA is the
historic town of Edgefield, SC. Upon arriving at the restaurant you will immediately be reminded that you are in the South. The long front porch shaded by a pair of grand old Magnolia trees and the classic Southern Victorian style of the home speaks volumes of its Southern Heritage.
The home itself was built in 1906 and was transformed into the Old Edgefield Grill in April of 1999 by Bettis Rainsford and Chef Sean Alexander Wight. The restaurant has a cozy bar with antique church pews, perfect for having a pre-dinner cocktail or glass of wine. The bar and two of the three dining rooms have ceilings of pressed tin, while the third has memorabilia of United States Senator Strom Thurmond. All the rooms have fireplaces with antique mantels, and the tables and seating arrangements are spacious and comfortable. Our goal is to make you feel right at home in our restaurant and to give you a true upscale dining experience "Southern Style". The chef utilizes great local and regional products such as Titan Farms Produce and Fruit, Manchester Farms Quail, and Adluh Grits. We also use as many heirloom products and heritage farms as possible to compliment our great seasonal menus.

About the Chef
Chef Sean started his career over eighteen years ago. He has worked in every facet of the restaurant business from dishwasher, server, captain, sommelier to executive chef. Prior to attending the Culinary School of Fort Lauderdale he worked as a waiter and wine captain in several four star restaurants across the South including Wine Spectator Grand Award Winner; Maison et Jardin in Central Florida and Canoe in Atlanta, GA. Chef Sean was mentioned in the Wine Spectator Magazine as a "knowledgeable young Chef with stylish interpretations of Southern Cuisine". He was also featured on the cover of the Augusta Magazine as a "Cutting Edge Chef". Chef Sean now extends his love of Southern food, plus his knowledge of wine for all to enjoy in his dining rooms at the Old Edgefield Grill!
